Helikopters : Lynx

North Arabian Sea (Jan. 5, 2006) - Royal Netherlands Marines assigned to the landing platform dock HNLMS De Zeven Provincien (FFG 802) fast rope from a Lynx helicopter onto the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau’s (LHA 4) flight deck during a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) exercise. The exercise provided an opportunity for both navies to train in a combined coalition environment to form a more effective and cohesive force. Nassau is deployed as flagship for Expeditionary Strike Group Eight (ESG- supporting maritime security operations in the 5th Fleet area of operations.

Indian Ocean (Jan. 27, 2006) - A Royal Netherlands Navy Lynx helicopter, assigned to the HNLMS De Zeven Provincien (FFG 802), prepares to land aboard the dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50). Carter Hall is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment conducting maritime security operations (MSO) in support of the global war on terrorism.
