Aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) arrived at Newport News Shipbuilding on Friday, Aug. 4 for its refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH). While at NNS, the ship will undergo extensive maintenance and modernization work. ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 6, 2017) An F/A-18E Super Hornet, from the “Argonauts” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147, takes off of the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), Sept. 6, 2017, in the Arabian Gulf. Nimitz is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
